After being put forward for TV.s .Star.s In Their Eyes. and winning his heat in May 2000 Stephen successfully established himself on the cabaret circuit. Whilst working in London at the Riverside Studios providing post show entertainment, Stephen had a picture taken of himself with Sir Bob Geldof who was supporting his partner Jeanne Marine who was appearing in the play. The photograph was published in OK! Magazine, and was subsequently brought to the attention of American producer, Jeff Kutash. Jeff had been trying to cast a musical about the life of Frank Sinatra for three years, but had been unable to find the right performer to play the man himself. Jeff contacted Stephen and then flew to London to meet him. Less than a month later Stephen received his contract to play Sinatra in The Main Event, in Atlantic City. The show ran as a showcase for seven weeks from March 2001 and brought him much critical acclaim. Since then appeared on many TV shows both in the UK and US.

On his return to the UK Stephen once again established himself on the cabaret and corporate circuits and acted as MC for many events. Stephen has recorded for numerous TV commercials and his voice is heard all over the world. Of the more notable of his commercial work is his recording of Nice and Easy which accompanies the TV campaign for the Orient Express in Australia and also currently showing are the Star Trek: Voyager trailers in UAE which once again feature .The Voice.. With his own stage production he performed to sell-out houses, and performed at the London Palladium for the City of New York Fire-Fighters charity after September 11th, finishing the evening with a heartfelt rendition of New York, New York.

He returned from the States in June 2002 after once again starring in The Main Event, this time for a three month run, headlining at The Venetian on the strip in Las Vegas, which was built on the site of the infamous Sands Hotel. At this time Stephen embarked on the National Tour of Frank, Sammy and Dean: The Rat pack Live From Las Vegas, playing Sinatra to massive critical acclaim. This culminated in a West End run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket before a transfer in July 2003 to The Strand Theatre, Aldwych where the show is still playing to packed houses every night and has recently been nominated for a coveted Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. Stephen has also completed two National Solo Tours, .Celebrates Sinatra with the Nelson Riddle UK orchestra. and Sinatra Gala Birthday Concert backed by a thirty-piece orchestra with strings. Stephen has released his own solo CD and can also be heard on the .Original Cast Recording . The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas..
